WISHLIST | 70s Vibes

Exams and essay deadlines and revision = minimal blog posts. It's that time of year again. I'm right slap bang in the middle of my exams as I write, which is not really the most fun I've had at uni to be honest with you, so blogging is unfortunately on a bit of a back burner.

I've been completely obsessed with all the 70s inspired clothes around recently. I ordered myself a fedora off Depop (check out my account HERE) but unfortunately it was too small for my head *sob*, but I've been extremely tempted by H&M's styles. I'm wanting to experiment with more white/creams, during this Spring (not that the weather seems to have got that memo), instead of my usual uniform of black and black with a splash of black.

On the subject of colours, the khaki green trend has also been catching my eye - eventually I will break out of my black and grey rut, small steps. The Zara boots and sunglasses I absolutely adore, and may treat myself with at the end of exams. The lovely little camera, a Canon EOS M is what I am currently saving for - a painfully slow process due to my inability to save/being a student - hopefully when I get my hands on it my blog photo quality will improve. I'm getting very excited to experiment more with photography and the DSLR features.

Good luck for those of you trawling through (or just beginning) exams at the moment - they'll be over before you know it!

If anyone has any photography tips (or any similar posts), link them below, I would love to take a look.

TRAVEL | Grand Cayman - Part I

Recently I was lucky enough to go to Grand Cayman, one of the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean with some of my family. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to, with the crystal clear water and incredible sunsets. I took hundreds of photos, I always do when I'm on holiday, but was stupid enough to leave my camera charger at home (!?) so had to use my iPhone for most part - credit goes to my cousin for the GoPro pictures! The highlights of the couple of weeks had to be:
Stingray City: The classic place to go for anyone visiting Grand Cayman. Weird yet wonderful standing in relatively shallow water while massive stingrays glide past you. To be completely honest with you, I was terrified and spent a lot of the time trying not to scream. However, after much coaxing and persuading, I held, kissed (see my strange facial expression below..) and fed one of the most friendly of the stingrays - who's aptly named "Sandy".

Starfish Point: It's strange to say, but starfish are actually really cute. If you pick them up (making sure they're still under water otherwise they can't breathe!) they're initially rigid and scared. But as they relax and you stroke them a little (again, sounds a a bit strange) they begin to soften, relaxing and curl round your hand, holding on with their little underneath suckers - an oddly comforting sensation.

Rum Point: Such a beautiful serene place where you can sit back and relax in a hammock or deck chair, while sipping a cocktail or sampling some authentic (and incredibly tasty) Caribbean food - absolute paradise. They have a pretty good sense of humour there too, check out their "Questions Not To Ask" blackboard!

Part two should be up very soon! Didn't want to overwhelm you/your computers with too many photos all at once. Leave a link in the comments below if you've written any travel posts, I love reading about other people's travels - it allows me to indulge my ever-growing wanderlust without spending all my money!
